Bike To Work Day - May 21, 2010
We've been working with the Memphis Center City Commission organizing a massive Bike To Work Day event. To my knowledge this has never been done in Memphis, especially on such a scale as we are planning. If you would like to get involved you can visit the CCC's website and sign up here: http://www.downtownmemphis.com/biketowork.asp.

Bicycle Film Festival - Call for Submissions!
While Josh on the East Coast is having fun in a ton of snow and Anthony is enjoying summertime polo down under, those of us in Memphis are staying indoors and remaining stationary. The bicycle trainer: going nowhere, fast.
While you don't have all of Memphis' beautiful trees to look at while you ride you can always pop a movie into the player. And what better kind of movie than a biycle movie!
(Nice segue, eh?)
The submission deadline for the 2010 Bicycle Film Festival is March 27th. Click the banner above to see the guidelines and download a submission form.
What's up with the BFF in Memphis, you ask? LOTS! This year will be bigger and better than last year and we're working with a lot of great people right now. Of course, we always need more help so if you're interested shoot me an email at cort@bicyclefilmfestival.com or Alona via alona@bicyclefilmfestival.com. We will start having meetings pretty soon and we'd like your ideas.

Some new blogs to check out
I've added a couple of blogs to our "The Latest" list. One is from Little Rock and the other 4 are local. Can you believe that? Four more Memphis cycling blogs. Give them a visit and make friends:
Little Rock Bike Polo - Just like it says.
Dirty South Racing - This blog from Clark Butcher, one of Memphis's most respected racers, is mostly about waffles, it seems. But there is some cycling and running thrown in for good measure.
Zach's Bicycle Commuting - Zach lives in the 'Burbs and tries to use his bike more than his car. He also helps with WalkBike Memphis.
Gotta Be Gritty - Brett rides a fixed gear, plays polo, and takes pictures of public art. And makes crazy spoke cards as well, then loses them. Help him find them!
Cyklopath - Jeremy has one of the prettiest cross bikes I've seen and being an alumnus of the University of Memphis, sponsors their Mountain Bike team.
Let me know if there are any other blogs out there that I should add.
