The Rebirth of Bashing

The Devil's Advocate's Alleycat is scheduled for Thursday, October 30th. Registration at 8:30pm at Revolutions Co-Op; ride at 9pm same place. In previous races you've been able to select your own route. This race is different. It's set up Basher style, meaning that the course is marked with arrows. At some points there may be two or more arrows and you will have to choose. If you've chosen wisely you WON'T see a sign that says "Turn Around." A Basher race is the perfect way to combine skill and luck; and at the end everyone parties. Bring a messenger bag and a pumpkin. Official flyer will be up hopefully Monday.

This one's going to be wide open. Denis and Chase are throwing it and I'm out of town - this one will be anyone's game.

Cort will you be riding this one?! 1st place right there..

I will be riding. I'm going after the cash. Gas money for New Orleans right there.

What are you talking about, K?!? Not to bash Cort, but you've been a consistent top-five finisher in alleycats for years. If you two team up, Cort can catch the cash and you can win.

I got some serious health issues going on at the moment, I'll be surprised if I can ride in this one.

Also Cort hasn't been in the past races, and he's always beat me at the flat track races, my money is still on him. Are the flat track races still going on? Maybe some polo? Or some kinda of trick hoe-down.

Anyone get a chance to ride Shady Grove yet? There's rumor the bike lane signs are up, and possibly spray paint on the road, but no real paint yet.

No, I haven't but will see what I can do soon. That sounds great.

Kermit, we hope you feel better! As for track races or polo: A lot of people have really been wanting to do something, including myself. But with a combination of work and the time change, it's dark at like 6. The only time I think we can do something is like Sunday morning. That would be a perfect time for polo, no cars, plenty of light... But it would end at 1 when the Peddler opens.
